Art by Cole Harbert

I have been in awe lately by many of my friends and their various talents and creative abilities. So much so that I thought I'd feature a few of them, so that you can enjoy (and support, if you're so inclined) their budding businesses.

Cole is a dear friend of mine from Winston-Salem who, sadly, just moved to Birmingham last week. (We miss you already, Harbert family!) She's a very talented artist and I've been particularly drawn to her alphabet watercolors, which are fun and lighthearted, but in sophisticated way. I just hung mine up in the nursery and it makes me smile every time I look at it. Good thing, as it's hung right above Rob's changing table!

Below is a smaller version; mat and frame colors and sizes can be altered, or you can order the watercolor only, if you prefer to frame yourself. Email me (anna@annaapplegateinteriors.com) for pricing and order information.

I had to share...

manzanita=little apple in spanish!

My very talented sister-in-law, Katelyn, made these incredible onesies for baby Rob (with the help of her equally talented boyfriend, Luke). If I do say so myself, they are the coolest ever. I'm already sad knowing that he'll grow out of them someday.

That's all; I just wanted you to see them because they make me so happy.

And we're back

Sorry for the hiatus, my friends. A few weeks ago, I finished work, Ryan finished school, and we were off to the beach for a week. It was wonderful and a much-needed dose of R&R.

We've got a few more weeks of vacation before we're back to "normal" life in Winston-Salem. Although, "normal" is excitingly different for me these days, as I'll be spending much more time on AAI than ever before. (That is, until our little one arrives in August. Then I'm not sure what "normal" will look like; but I'm excited to find out!)

Speaking of the little one, I've neglected to share the exciting news that we're having a boy! The nursery is coming together and I'll be sure to share pictures soon. To give you a quick taste, here are the fabrics I used:

In the meantime, check out this fabulous new blog, "Life of Style," by Raleigh designer Elizabeth Goodwin of Elizabeth Goodwin Interiors. She was kind enough to feature some of my items that are currently at Hunt & Gather in her "Stylish Outdoor Living" post last week. Her blog is full of chic inspiration, so be sure to check it out.
