The latest on Lonny

Thanks to one of my favorite bloggers, i suwannee, I found the latest news on Lonny. Click here for the story.

A quick re-cap: in Lonny's debut, we can look forward to reading about former Domino editor Deborah Needleman (seen above) and for the second issue they're tempting us with the likes of Celerie Kemble (my favorite) and Jonathan Adler.

I am so excited.

Occasional Oriental

Sold!

Occasional chairs are popping up quite frequently at AAI. This Asian-inspired side chair with a cane seat will add a good deal of visual interest and texture to any room. Just pop a colorful throw pillow in and you're set to go in your living room, den, hallway/foyer, bedroom, office; just about anywhere!

Sold!

Yesterday's post on the pair of Bohemian occasional chairs was either well received or timed fortuitously, as I was informed today that they have been sold. Thank you!

This made me realize how terrible I have been at updating my blog when items sell. I have now gone back and noted sold items, and promise to do so more often going forward.

We are off to Raleigh this weekend for a wedding. I'm also hoping to find some new pieces and stop by the shop. Details and photos to be shared on Monday.

Happy Weekend!

A taste of Domino

Forgive me if this is old news, but I was thrilled to discover that former Domino editor, Michelle Adams, and photographer Patrick Cline are launching an online magazine called Lonny, which is set to post on October 1st. Read here for all of the exciting details.

The premiere issue showcases the New York apartment of Carolina Irving, the designer of a cheerfully chic line of textiles. Kate Townsend-Simpson, another former Domino editor, graces the cover in a dining room of which I am dying to see more.

If the editorial pedigree and first issue coverage are any indication, Lonny is sure to be eye-candy for all of the Domino-starved, decorphile readers out there.

I, for one, cannot wait to start reading!
